It works as a super-light and elastic insulation layer in gloves and jackets and as a separate insulation layer in underwear and hats. HIPORA® is a breathable, water-resistant material developed by the Korean company Kolon Industries. It consists of a three-layer microporous silicon layer. Some types are impregnated with microscopic aluminium flakes to increase heat retention.

The first layer prevents water from penetrating inside. The pores have a diameter of less than 0.5 um, so water does not penetrate in, but moisture and steam can get out.

The second layer has a honeycomb structure that allows moisture and water vapour to penetrate through the first layer to the outside. It absorbs moisture so your body doesn't sweat while the moisture slowly evaporates. All of this happens on a microscopic and macroscopic level that you don't feel in any way.

The third layer is very dense due to the increased water protection. This layer is the closest to the skin.

The finger cap heating technology encloses the fingers from above and below. With the mittens, too, the heat is given off to the fingers from two sides and thus prevents them from cooling down, even in extreme temperatures.
